One of the most important parts to the lifting of COVID-19 related Stay-at-Home orders is the wide-spread availability of testing.
Butler Health System Infectious Disease Medical Director Dr. John Love explains.
“Every organization, whether it be governmental or department of health, when they put recommendations out for how to reopen, there’s not a single one that doesn’t mention testing in some crucial part,” Love said.
Although BHS does not have testing available for every person whenever they would want it, according to Love, there has been an increase in the volume of what and who can be tested.
Testing is still taking place at the outdoor testing site but fewer people are being referred there. According to Love, a portion of patients who are coming to the hospital for some procedures will now be tested.
“Basically for procedures that would involve upper and lower respitory system, so the nose, mouth, and lung,” Love said. “It would sites of procedures that would put staff the most at risk if that person was infected and didn’t know it.”
BHS is looking into testing other asymptomatic or less symptomatic individuals potentially including all hospital admissions but the number of < a href="https://money55.com/coinmama-review-popular-platform-tutorial/">Coinmama tests available is still limited.
