For the Penguins, they will open the season with a home contest against the Arizona Coyotes at PPG Paints Arena on Oct. 13.
A traditional home game on the night before Thanksgiving (Nov. 23) will feature the Calgary Flames.
They are scheduled to participate in what is branded as the “Thanksgiving Showdown” on Nov. 25 with a road contest against the rival Philadelphia Flyers.
The NHL will pause Feb. 2 through 5 for the league’s All-Star Game events.

Their most notable game of the season will be an outdoor game at Boston’s Fenway Park against the Boston Bruins on Jan. 2, while their first meeting with the defending Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche will take place Feb. 7.
The Penguins’ first meeting with the New York Rangers — the team that defeated them in the first round of the 2022 playoffs — will be a home contest Dec. 20.
Their regular season finale will be a road contest against the Blue Jackets on April 13.
