The Slippery Rock University football team remains ranked fifth in Super Region One with one regular season game remaining. The top seven teams in the final rankings Sunday will go to the NCAA Division II tournament.
IUP is still ranked first in the region. The Rock will visit Kutztown Saturday. IUP will visit West Chester for the PSAC Championship.
The Rock’s Mili Raye was named the PSAC-West Offensive Player of the Week after compiling a career-high 12 catches for 181 yards and two touchdowns in Slippery Rock’s win over Seton Hill last week. He also returned a punt 85 yards for a touchdown to finish with 291 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns. He was featured on ESPN’s Sportcenter for the sixth time this season. Raye moved up to second all-time at SRU in career receptions and yards.
The Pitt Panthers host North Carolina tomorrow night at Heinz Field. Pitt needs to win two of their final three games to become bowl eligible. Kick-off is 7:30pm.
