Thomas G. Mellish, age 73, of East Brady, Sugarcreek Township, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Kittanning Hospital. ACMH.
He was born in Sugarcreek Township on Tuesday, June 6, 1950, the son of Anthony E. and Anna (Glynn) E. Mellish.
Tom was a 1968 graduate of East Brady High School and then entered and graduated from Indiana University. He was employed as a school teacher for 40 years, 1st in West Virginia where he resided for several years; and when he moved back to the area, he worked as a substitute teacher for the Armstrong School District for several more years . He was, also, a co-owner of the Mellish Farm in Sugarcreek Township.
He enjoyed his friends, yard sales, watching football and his favorite T.V. show ‘Jeopardy’.
He is survived by his brothers: Richard and James, two sisters: Mary Ann /
Rawson of Pittsburgh and Kathy Mellish of East Brady, 2 nephews: Jose and Mark Balza of Pittsburgh and a great nephew.
Tom’s parents Anthony E. Mellish and Anna E. (Glynn) Mellish preceded him in death.
Private arrangements were entrusted to Steighner Funeral Home, in Chicora, Pennsylvania.
