Thomas Pawlowicz, 82, of Butler passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. He was born in Butler on September 7, 1942, to the late Leon and Mary (Ragan) Pawlowicz. Thomas graduated from Butler High School in 1960 and received his Accounting Certificate from New Castle Business School. He started his employment doing income tax prep in 1973 where he continued to build his business for 49 years, he then worked for Connoquenessing Township from 1989 to 2017 as a tax collector and a real estate tax collector. Thomas was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and enjoyed farming, hunting, bowling and eating pies and anything sweet. He was known for being a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved “dad jokes”. Thomas was the beloved husband of Sharon (Dickey) Pawlowicz since their marriage in 1965; father of Michelle (Robert) Kowalski, Lisa (Peter) Klimek, Daniel, Eli, and Matthew (Lindsey) Pawlowicz; brother of Rosemary Pawlowicz; grandfather of Ashleigh (Connor) Newstead, Timothy (Cassie) and Greg Shearer, Adam (Bailee), Lucas (Chrissy), Isaac, Kyle, Leon, Caileigh and Caden Pawlowicz; great grandfather of Ivy Pawlowicz; he is also survived by his sister-in-law, Carol Pawlowicz. Along with his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his siblings, Edward and Joseph Pawlowicz, and his sister-in-law, Betty Pawlowicz.
