Thomas S. Sivak, 81, of Butler, passed away peacefully at home from natural causes on Jan.10, 2023.
Born July 30, 1941, he was the son of the late Albert R. Sivak and Agnes J. Lesko Sivak.
Tom was a graduate of Duquesne High School, and he attended Grove City College.
He served in the Pennsylvania State Police for 20 years. After retirement Tom and his wife Mary Ann owned and operated Tom’s Place, a corner pub, for a number of years. To the present, Tom was a stamp dealer, buying, appraising, and selling classic U.S. stamps.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Knights of Columbus, and Butler Stamp Club. He also was a Cub Scout leader, Little League coach, PSP softball coach, and he was on a bowling team. He especially enjoyed playing pinochle with his longtime friends, spending time with his family at their camp in Pymatuning, and sitting on the porch swing with his wife.
Tom was a member for over 50 years of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving is his loving wife, Mary Ann Kepple Sivak; his son, Thomas Sivak, Jr. (Suna); his daughters Dianne Black (John) and Sharon Ellenberger (Carl); seven grandchildren, Steven (Teresa), Andrew (HeyJi), Nicole (Justin), Jacob (Biidaw), Samuel (Gwyn), Erin and Emma; four great-grandchildren, Kyndall, Amelia, Howard and Evelyn; his sister, Mary Ann Sivak Moses; niece Shelly Moses Marecic (Joe); and great-nephew, Frankie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sat., Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. from All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler, with Rev. Rick Thompson officiating, followed by private interment.
