The number of reported COVID-19 cases in Pennsylvania was more than 1,000 for the first time this week.
According to today’s daily update from the state, there are now nearly 53,000 positive COVID-19 cases statewide. There has also been close to 210,000 negative tests.
Here in Butler County, there were five new cases reported—bringing the county’s total to 190.
Butler Memorial Hospital is treating seven patients for COVID-19, with one in the ICU.
The death toll also rose by more than 300 in the state as a result of data accumulation from the past two weeks.
