Timothy D Murray

Timothy D Murray ,62, of Butler, passed away after a brief illness on December 1, 2023 at UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born January 8,1961 to Thomas and Harriet (Wray) Murray. He was a 1978 graduate of Butler High School and earned a Bachelors of business administration from Middle Tennessee State. He was employed at Lowe’s and previously at Verizon. He was a proud, active member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.
He will be missed by family, friends and anyone who got a chance to meet and talk to him. He was always quick with a smile, a story to make you laugh and positive words of encouragement . The true love of his life was helping people realize their true potential. If it was through his helping mentor children in sports or his work in sales he was always a positive uplifting force.
He is survived by his dad Thomas D. (Lana)Murray of Phoenix, Az, a sister Gwendolyn Murray of Baltimore, Md and a brother James (Stephanie) Murray of Butler. 2 nephews, Matthew and Barry Murray and a niece, Taylor McGhee. He was proceeded in death by his mother, Harriet Wray Murray and sister Cindy Murray.
MURRAY-Services for Timothy Murray, who died Dec. 1, 2023 will be received Wednesday from 1-3 and 6 to 8 Pm with a memorial held after at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, Pa.
A celebration of Tim’s life will be held in Tennessee at a later date.
