Many Butler Township residents continue to take advantage of the recycling of electronics and hazardous household waste.
Butler Township Manager Tom Knights provided Township Commissioners with the latest update about collection by Waste Management in the third quarter of 2021.
According to the recent figures, nearly seven tons of hazardous household and e-waste was collected from over 130 households during July, August, and September- including over four tons of televisions, nearly 1,000 pounds of computers and computer monitors, and nearly a ton of paint.
Butler Township residents with questions about the process of disposing of items like these should contact Waste Management. Glass recycling continues to be offered in a bin behind the Butler Township building.
