An event at the Lowrie Place will help children after a traumatic event.
Every month the Lowrie Place inside the Stirling Village hosts a purposeful event for their residents, which aim to help the residents to find meaning.
Last month’s purposeful event raised over 2,000 stuffed toys for children who experience traumatic events and are being met by emergency crews.
The event was led Carol Warner, director of resident programing, and she had no idea that the community would respond like this
“I didn’t know what to expect. I never know what to expect when we do a purposeful event, but all we know is that we want it to help somebody,” Warner said.
Warner also wanted to say thank you to the community for helping and participating in the event.
