Crews have reopened a portion of Interstate 79 after repairs were necessary following a crash Monday morning.
The accident happened in the northbound lane of I-79 around 5:30 a.m. Monday morning near the Zelienople exit when a tractor trailer struck a guardrail.
As traffic increased—a school bus was involved in another crash. No one was reportedly injured, but there were about 10 students on board so EMS crews were sent to the scene as a precautionary measure.
Crews needed to remove an overhead sign that was damaged during the first accident with motorists experiencing delays until around 2:30.
