A state police trooper was taken to the hospital after a crash on Route 422 over the weekend.
The accident happened Saturday around 7:30 p.m. on Route 422 in Franklin Township.
A police car driven by 29-year-old Everett Lesko was going westbound when he tried to make a u-turn into the eastbound lane. A vehicle driven by 74-year-old Danny Helton of Ohio thought the officer was pulling onto the shoulder of the road and tried to pass him on the left.
That’s when both vehicles collided.
Police say Trooper Lesko suffered an injury and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital.
