With the primary election a little over a month away, the Republican race for governor had a few developments take place this week.
President Donald Trump has yet to make an endorsement in the race, but instead said he would not support candidate Bill McSwain. The former President accused McSwain of “doing nothing about election fraud” in his role as a U.S. Attorney.
That statement from Trump also appears to have kept State Senator Jake Corman in the race. After planning to withdraw, Corman said he talked with President Trump who encouraged him to stay in the race.
There are currently nine candidates running for the GOP nomination for governor.
