We have more information about a chain reaction crash Tuesday morning which delayed traffic and resulted in minor injuries.
The three vehicle accident happened around 7:30 a.m. near the intersection of Evans City Road and Oakdale Road in Butler Township.
According to Butler Township Police, 64-year-old Joanne Smith of Butler took her eyes off the road to look at her GPS and ran into the back of a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Kaitlin Beatty also of Butler. Beatty’s vehicle was pushed into a third vehicle which also sustained damage.
Smith and Beatty were both transported to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries and their vehicles needed to be towed. The third driver was not injured and did not need to be towed. The road was reduced to one lane while crews worked to clear the scene.
