There were 243 new cases of COVID-19 and five additional deaths for Butler County Tuesday.
That now brings the total number of deaths in the county to 179 since the beginning of the pandemic according to the Department of Health.
As of Monday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 59 patients for the coronavirus, with eight COVID patients in the ICU.
Statewide, hospitalizations remain just below 6,000.
The DOH also reported just under 10,000 new cases today in Pennsylvania along with 267 additional deaths.
