There were 97 new cases of COVID-19 and one additional death reported by the state for Butler County on Tuesday.
The total number of deaths for the county since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 290.
The most recent local update saw hospitalizations increase at Butler Memorial Hospital from 27 last Friday to 31 patients being treated for the coronavirus Monday morning. There were also five COVID patients in the ICU. BHS reported two deaths to the state on Saturday.
Statewide there were just over 5,000 new cases and 77 additional deaths, along with nearly 13,000 negative test results. Just over 4,500 patients are hospitalized statewide with 950 in the ICU.
