There is plenty going on in the Butler Area School District over the next couple of days.
Today is Butler Spirit Day Friday during which students and faculty are encouraged to wear Butler gear to show school pride. All dress code policies remain in effect.
Today is also the final day for parents to cast votes for parents to become members of the Community Committee for School Organization. Each parent or guardian may vote one time per school where they have a child attending. Return ballots to the school office.
Then Saturday is the annual Tuff Tornado Run from 1 to 4 p.m. at Alameda Park. Registration for this two mile fun run with obstacles for all ages is available on site the day of the event. The day will also include food trucks and a 50/50 raffle. Proceeds benefit the Kids Weekend Backpack Program, Creative Teaching Grants and Technology.
