The Pennsylvania Turnpike is going cashless due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus.
Officials say they’re moving to a “toll-by-plate” system in order to eliminate money exchanging hands at toll booths.
So if you don’t have an EZ Pass—officials want you to use the “ticket” lane, in which a photo will be taken of your license plate.
Drivers will then have a bill sent to their residence.
The Turnpike is also partially closing all of their service plazas. No fast food or inside dining will be available and inside restrooms are closed. Fuel is available and convenience stores are open. Portable toilets and handwashing stations are available.
All scheduled construction projects have been halted.
