Two Butler Area School District buses were involved in crashes yesterday, including one accident that injured students.
The first accident happened around 6:45 a.m. on Route 8 North at Milheim Drive, which is near the Clearview Mall. Only one student was on the bus at that time, and no one suffered any injuries.
The second crash happened just after 3 p.m. at the intersection of Route 68 and Route 38 in Summit Township.
Dispatchers say a vehicle rear-ended the bus, leaving the driver of the car entrapped and several students with injuries.
EMS crews were called to evaluate the students on the bus. Superintendent Dr. Brian White says that two students were taken to the hospital, however they were not taken by ambulance.
Crews remained on scene until 4:15 p.m.
