Two motorists were taken to a local hospital following a two car crash that occurred late last week in the northern part of the county.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, a 31-year-old Maryland man was traveling on East Main Street Extension in Mercer Township on Thursday evening when a deer entered the roadway.
Authorities say that the driver stopped for the deer, but a second vehicle struck the rear end of his car.
Officials say that that both drivers and a passenger in the second vehicle were all wearing seatbelts, and the airbags in the second vehicle deployed.
The driver and passenger in the second vehicle were transported to the Grove City Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries.
No other motorists were involved.
