Police are providing more information on a serious crash that sent two people to the hospital.
The accident happened last Friday afternoon just after 1:30 p.m. on I-79 in Jackson Township near the Evans City exit.
Police say 36-year-old Jennifer Cooley of Wexford was driving northbound when she lost control of her vehicle. She went across the median and into the southbound lane.
That’s when a vehicle driven by 53-year-old Larry Ferguson of New Castle was driving southbound was unable to avoid colliding with Cooley’s vehicle.
Ferguson suffered serious injuries, while Cooley suffered minor injuries according to police. However, both were taken to area hospitals.
