Two vehicles were damaged in a crash earlier this week in neighboring Lawrence County.
The accident happened Wednesday afternoon around 2:45 p.m. on Route 19 in Slippery Rock Township, about a mile north of the intersection with Route 422.
Police say an SUV driven by 48-year-old Joanna Julock of Mercer was driving north when she slowed down to allow a dump truck to make a turn. That’s when her car was hit by a pickup truck driven by 44-year-old Christopher Kennedy of Mercer.
Both Kennedy and Julock suffered minor injuries, however a four-year-old child in Kennedy’s car was not hurt.
Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
