Tyler J. Barger, 27, of Mount Washington, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018.
Tyler was born on July 16, 1990 in Butler. He was the son of Timothy D. and Marta F. Liberto Barger.
He was a 2009 graduate of Karns City High School and a 2013 graduate of Slippery Rock University. Tyler was currently employed by PPG in the IT Department. He was a member of Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church in Chicora.
Tyler had been an avid reader since a young age. In addition to reading, he enjoyed golfing, following Pittsburgh sports teams, watching soccer games with his friends, and traveling. He most recently went to the Kentucky Derby. He had also hiked in Mt. Zion, UT and had attended The WM Golf Open in Phoenix, AZ. Tyler was planning a trip to England this summer.
Tyler is survived by his devoted parents, Tim and Marta Liberto Barger of Chicora; his loving siblings, Katrina Barger of Pittsburgh, Kyle Barger and Reese Barger, both of Chicora. He is also survived by his maternal grandfather, William Liberto of Chicora, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tyler will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Daniel Barger and Norma Jean Barger, his maternal grandmother, Patricia Liberto, and a cousin, Ashley McCord.
Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, from 1 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Saturday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday from Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church, 409 N. Main St., Chicora, with the Rev. Rick Thompson, church pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora. A parish prayer service will be held at 3:45 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
