The U.S. Department of Agriculture is offering financial assistance to help with the creation of jobs and supporting new business in rural communities.
The USDA is now accepting applications electronically for the Rural Innovation Stronger Economy (RISE) program and will host a live virtual event on this topic on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m.
This program is designed to provide grants of up to $2 million to groups of local governments, investors, industry, higher education institutions and other organizations public or private to support projects like starting or expanding businesses for at least four years. The deadline to submit applications is August 2nd.
