New numbers from the Department of Labor show that Pennsylvania is holding steady at record low unemployment.
The data from December shows the unemployment rate at 3.9 percent—which is a new monthly low.
Butler County has an even better rate that the state, coming in at 3.4 percent unemployment. That works out to about 3,300 people in the eligible workforce who don’t have a job at the moment.
State leaders say that Pennsylvanians are entering the workforce, launching new careers, and pursuing family-sustaining jobs.
