Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate rose in the month of January.
The state released the figures late last week, which showed the rate at 7.3 percent—which is up two-tenths a percentage since December.
According to the AP, Pennsylvania has regained almost half of the 1.1 million jobs lost since the beginning of the pandemic.
Here in Butler County, the county is below the state average with a 5.9 percent unemployment rate; meaning that about 5,600 people of the eligible work force in the county are unemployed right now.
