The United States Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania has resigned from his position.
Scott Brady was sworn in December of 2017 and stepped down effective today.
Brady did not say why he decided to resign but he did point out many of the accomplishments he has achieved with law enforcement partnerships including combating opioids and addiction, reducing violent crime, and combating cybercrime.
According to federal law, First Assistant U.S. Attorney Steve Kaufman will be sworn-in as Acting U.S. Attorney sometime today.
