As some still struggle paying bills amid the ongoing pandemic, the United Way wants people to know of a local resource that’s available for help.
The 2-1-1 is a helpline that can assist residents of the county to help meet basic needs like paying utility bills, getting groceries for families, or taking someone to the doctor’s office for an appointment.
According to the United Way, there were over 7,800 requests made via 211, including more than 500 people who used the service for the first time.
People can learn more about the service by visiting pa211sw.org.
