Volunteers with the United Way are spending time helping students get ready for the upcoming year.
Around 140 people took time yesterday and today to unload and sort school supplies at World Vision Pittsburgh in Sewickley.
The volunteers will then assemble supply boxes and pack them for fourth, fifth, and sixth graders in Southwestern PA—including students in Butler County.
The United Way is also offering a grant program that would provide up to $20,000 to schools for STEM education. The deadline to apply for a grant is September 23rd.
