The United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania has announced the results from the most recent annual campaign.
A total of over $43 million was raised including nearly $10 million from the Crisis Campaign which was dedicated to responding to unprecedented events over the past year.
The United Way’s PA 211 hotline handled roughly double the amount of call volume as the year before and helped more than 6,000 mostly seniors arrange a vaccination.
The United Way also notes the tens of thousands of people throughout the region who took the time to make an impact for those in need through virtual events and community service projects.
