A local state park will welcome guests later this week at an event focusing on an interesting bird.
On Wednesday (June 29th) the park naturalist at Moraine will meet participants to discuss hummingbirds and how enthusiasts can feed these small birds in their own backyard.
Following Wednesday’s discussion, guests will take a short hike and observe which native plants that hummingbirds like best.
Guests will meet the park naturalist at Pavilion #7 at the McDanel’s Launch Area on the North Shore for Wednesday’s event, which is expected to run from 6pm to 7:30pm.
Participants are reminded to dress for the weather, wear sturdy footwear, and to bring a drink or snack as well as a desire to learn.
