As summer winds down, a local municipality is preparing for a project to renovate recreation facilities.
A recent Jefferson Township Board of Supervisors meeting included a discussion about work planned for Laura J. Doerr Memorial Park and SEBCO pool.
Renovations to the existing restrooms will begin soon while two new restroom units have been ordered. A gated extended maintenance road will be placed between the Legion and T-ball fields.
The Jefferson Township Board adopted a resolution required for a Department of Conservation and Natural Resources grant application to help fund pool renovations. Bids for that project will go out in December.
The Christian Leadership Network recently donated $5,500 to the pool renovation project. Individuals, businesses, and organizations interested in contributing should call the Jefferson Township office.
