A construction worker was killed Wednesday afternoon when a utility pole fell on top of him.
The accident happened just south of the Butler County line in Pine Township, Allegheny County, on Graham Road.
Northern Regional Police told our news partners at WPXI-TV that 25-year-old Victor Boytos of West Mifflin was killed when the 39-foot traffic light pole came crashing down on top of him. Crews were using a crane to put up new traffic light poles in the area when the chain from the crane broke.
Boytos was pronounced dead on scene. OSHA is investigating.
