The Butler VA is hosting an event to help veterans learn the benefits of quitting smoking.
It’s a part of the Great American Smoke Out—a nationwide event to help people stop using tobacco.
The event is happening Thursday at the Abie Abraham VA on North Duffy Road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
VA officials say there’s a long history of tobacco use in the military and that many veterans smoked while serving. At the event they’ll discuss the programs and tools to help veterans quit smoking.
No registration is required.
