The Butler VA Health Care System will host the first Korean War Recognition Day event later this week.
The event is planned for Thursday beginning at 11 a.m. with a special invite-only ceremony and followed by a public gathering from 1 to 4 p.m. at the VA facility on North Duffy Road.
Veterans will receive a recognition pins and certificates. VA staff will be on hand at resource tables and with light refreshments.
July 27th marks 70 years since the signing of the Korean Armistice Agreement which ended over three years of fighting for nearly 6 million veterans.
