Velma Kiser Blain, 100, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 4, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born February 17, 1921, in Center Township, Pennsylvania to the late H. Braden Kiser and the late Norma Shakely Kiser.
Velma is survived by her two sons, Dale A. Blain of Butler, PA, Larry R Blain of Butler, PA; seven grandchildren, Jodi Stockert, Jennifer Clark, David Herold, Tammi Delano, Tiffany Lineman, Crissy Warnick, Jaci Warnick; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, Paul Kiser.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur G. Blain, who she married January 29, 1941, and who passed away July 5, 1999; one daughter, Marilyn Herold; six sisters, Ina Weisenstein, Norma Snodgrass, Viola Yartz, Carol Book, Isabell Bacher, and Cleo Baxter; three brothers, Dale Kiser, Willis Kiser, and Raymond Kiser.
There will be no public visitation or funeral services.
A private burial will take place at Greenlawn Burial Estates.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
