Veterans and their families will have an opportunity to have a free Thanksgiving style meal in a couple of weeks.
The food will be served by volunteers of Missionaries in Butler on November 16, 2019.
Lori Salsgiver, Mission Developer for Missionaries in Butler says, “Not only are we reaching out the community in Butler to say the veterans matter to us but also to say thank you. And it’s not just about the veterans but also for their families…it’s our way to give back to them… all the sacrifices they’ve made for our country as well.”
There are only 9 days left to RSVP. You’ll need to do so by November 10th. The “Thanks to the Brave” dinner will be held at St. Luke Lutheran Church – Butler Campus on Freeport Road.
As for Missionaries in Butler, this is a new Butler based organization that completes mission here in the area. Salsgiver says, “We can this in our backyard. You don’t need to travel to another state or country to do mission work.”
RSVP for the free dinner at (724) 352-2777.
