The names of the victims in a fatal fire in Kittanning yesterday have been released.
Three people died in the early morning fire at a duplex on North Branch Street: 26-year-old Jason Blystone, 28-year-old Kayla Whittaker, and her 3-year-old son.
A 5 and 7-year-old were both able to get out of the home. They also alerted neighbors in the duplex to the fire as well.
There were two firefighters who were injured battling the blaze; they were taken to an area hospital where they’re expected to be okay.
The house is considered a total loss.
The state fire marshal is investigating.
