Victor R. Brown, 90, formerly of West Sunbury, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Orchard Manor of complications from Parkinson’s Disease.
He was born August 17, 1929 in Butler, the son of the late Alfred Clarence and Ester (Campbell) Brown.
Vic was a member of Moraine Sportsman Club and the Harrisville Trap Club. Vic was a member of the Christian Alliance Church of Butler. He retired from Bessemer Lake Erie Railroad form the Butler yard car department
Surviving are his sons, V. Russell (Beverly) Brown of Renfrew, Kenneth (Deborah) Brown and Alfred Brown, all of West Sunbury; his daughter, Sandra (William) Funfer of Boyers; 3 grandsons and 4 great grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Slomers) Brown whom he married at the Springdale Lutheran Church on October 1, 1947 and who passed away on May 26, 2017; his grandson, Eric Sean Brown, 2 brothers, Alfred and Dean and his sisters, Irene and Margaret.
Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from Noon until the time of the service at 2 PM with his pastor officiating.
Interment in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
