Virginia L. Repine-Davis, 89, of Pawley’s Island, SC, formerly of Butler, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at The Lakes at Litchfield in Pawleys Island, SC.
She was born April 22, 1928 in Euclid, the daughter of the late Josiah and Emma (Causer) Fleeger.
Virginia was a member of Oak Hills Christian Church and had been very active in her church for almost 50 years. She was a homemaker and had worked as a nurse’s aide at Butler Memorial Hospital. She lived a life of service and giving to her family, her brothers and sisters, friends and church. She was very talented and creative and enjoyed making her home a special and welcoming place. She loved planting flowers and working in her yard. Her talents included painting, crocheting, sewing, cooking and baking (especially pies and bread), and she loved all animals, especially dachshunds.
Surviving are her 2 daughters, Janice (Mike) Arnold of Pawley’s Island, SC, Paula (Darrel) Kearns of Butler; 2 grandchildren, Erin (Brian) Blackmore and Laura (Sid) Plattenburg, both of Charlotte, NC; 2 great grandchildren, Bradley and Adam Blackmore.
She was also preceded in death by her 1st husband, Lester Repine who died February 11, 1977 and her 2nd husband, Clarence “Ed” Davis who passed away on October 13, 2011, 5 sisters and 6 brothers.
Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 10AM until the time of the service at 11AM with Rev. Ashley Stansfield officiating.
Interment in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
