With the increased availability of COVID-19 vaccinations, a state agency is looking at how residents of long-term care facilities are affected.
The PA Department of Aging’s Office of the Long Term Care Ombudsman is sponsoring a Virtual Family Council meeting from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday. Speakers from the Office of Advocacy and Reform will look back at the past year as well as ahead to what is next.
To register for the event, families will have to email jarotz@pa.gov with the exact subject line of “Virtual Family Council.” You will then receive an email with the direct link to the Zoom meeting.
The next virtual meeting will be held on May 18th featuring a presentation from a panel of residents with the Pennsylvania Empowered Expert Residents Perspective.
Families will be able to ask questions at both meetings however specific issues involving a particular resident or facility will not be addressed.
