Anyone interested in volunteering at Moraine or McConnells Mill State Parks is invited to attend a kickoff meeting scheduled for this weekend.
On Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon park staff and representatives of the non-profit groups that support the parks will meet with prospective volunteers of all abilities at Moraine’s Pavilion 7 at McDanels Launch Area on the North Shore.
Those interested in volunteering will learn more about a variety of opportunities at both parks including trail work, native plants, special events, and living history.
