Volunteers looking to participate in a unique event are needed later this week at Alameda Park.
On Friday (April 20th), the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department will be participating in WQED’s “Be My Neighbor Day,” at Alameda Park. From 9:30am to 12:30pm, volunteers are asked to help with various beautification jobs around the park such as planting and mulching.
Volunteers are asked to dress for the weather, and if possible, bring work gloves and gardening tools. Registration for volunteers is available online here.
“Be My Neighbor Day,” is a collaboration between WQED and The Fred Rogers Company to encourage individuals and families to assist their neighbors in need.
