The warden of the Butler County Prison is leaving his post.
County commissioners confirmed that Joe DeMore is stepping down from his post sometime this month.
Commissioners say the prison board will determine the timeline to hire a new warden, but are hopeful to have someone in the position by summer’s end or even sooner.
DeMore has been in charge of the prison since 2015.
