While we may be enjoying the warmer temperatures in early October, it could be rather disappointing for area leaf peepers.
Scientists at Penn State say the warmer weather may delay and even diminish the fall colors.
Prior to this stretch, the state was heading for a vibrant year of fall foliage due to the wet summer, but the mild overnights may result in less orange and red leaves.
Still, one of the ecologists at Penn State says there are areas where trees, despite the outside forces of weather, will at least give off good color every single year.
