Wayne L. “Twig” Terwilliger, 86 of Greece City, formerly of Bruin, went to be with the Lord and Savior on February 21, 2024 at 9:00 am, with loving family at his side. Wayne will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Born August 6, 1937, he was the son of the late Wayne L. and Mabel L. (Crispen) Terwilliger. He attended Parker, PA school.
His first job was with J.M. Beatty in Eau Claire, PA and his second job was at Witco Sonneborn Division, retiring in 1999 after 42 ½ years of service. Wayne belonged to Bruin Volunteer Firemen, was Bruin Assistant Fire Chief, served on Bruin Council and also served with Witco Firemen. Wayne enjoyed helping friends and family. Wayne credits all his knowledge and accomplishments to his dear parents and grandparents.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Darla L. (Ball/Blake) Terwilliger.
2 daughters, Laura Lynn Colligan and Karen Kay (Thomas) Landers.
Grandchildren: Nick Colligan, Adam (Amber) Colligan and Sara Colligan.
Edward (Dena) Wade, Kaitlyn Kay (Landers) Ball (Brandon), Thomas (Sarah) Landers.
1 great granddaughter, Haylee Wade.
1 step daughter, Tracy (Blake) Claypoole (Grant)
1 step granddaughter, Natalie Claypoole
2 step grandsons, Garrett Claypoole and Braden Claypoole.
1 brother, Gary R. Terwilliger, 1 sister-in-law, Faith Terwilliger and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Wendell Terwilliger, Betty Bailey and husband Robert Bailey, Larry B. Terwilliger.
As per Wayne’s wishes, there will be no viewing or visitation with private burial at St. Jospeh’s Cemetery, North Oakland. Arrangements by the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler. Donations may be made in Wayne’s name to St. Joesph Roman Catholic Church, 864 Chicora Road, Chicora, PA 16025.
