Western Pennsylvania has dealt with its fair share of winter weather since the start of 2018 and today is no different.
Wednesday started off with temperatures near zero. The National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting a high temperature today of only 15, and when you factor in the wind, the wind chill or “feels like” temperature is much colder, dropping as cold as -11.
Eight of the nine public school districts in Butler County decided to delay the start of classes Wednesday. Butler, South Butler, Seneca Valley, Mars, Freeport, Slippery Rock, Karns City and Moniteau are operating on a two-hour delay. A-C Valley is on a regular schedule.
According to the NWS, a low of 10 is expected Wednesday night with mostly cloudy skies. No additional snow accumulation is expected. Mostly sunny and a high near 30 is forecasted for Thursday.
