Local residents are dealing with the aftermath of another strong storm that swept through the Butler area Wednesday afternoon.
After only a chance of rain was forecast, the skies darkened then opened up shortly before 5 p.m.
Crews were dispatched to a tree on wires blocking the southbound lanes of North Main Street as well as wires down on West Penn Street. Additionally, a tree was reported to be on wires and a transformer on East Jefferson Street.
Flooding was also reported in several areas around the city of Butler. Penn Power reported over 4,000 county residents without power including over 600 in Cranberry Township, nearly 500 in Adams Township, nearly 500 in the city of Butler, over 500 in Chicora Borough, and over 500 in Oakland Township.
