There were 49 new cases of COVID-19 and one additional death reported by the state for Butler County Wednesday.
That now brings the death toll in the county to 401 since the beginning of the pandemic.
As of Wednesday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 12 patients for the coronavirus which is half the number that were hospitalized on Monday, with three COVID patients in the ICU which is an increase of one compared to Monday. BHS also reported one death to the state on Tuesday.
There were over 4,600 new cases reported Wednesday along with 60 additional deaths in Pennsylvania. Statewide hospitalizations have remained relatively stable at just over 2,800.
