Two local motorists are recovering following an accident over the weekend in Butler Township.
According to Butler Township Police, shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Stephanie Sloan of Lyndora was traveling south on Hansen Avenue.
She allegedly failed to stop for a red signal at the intersection with Whitestown Road and collided with a Ford F-150 driven by 72-year-old Richard Gavula of Butler who was turning left from Whitestown onto Hansen.
Both motorists sustained minor injuries requiring medical treatment. One lane of Hansen in each direction needed to be closed for about half an hour to allow for the accident scene to be cleared.
